Mundeshwari Devi Temple is an ancient shrine situated atop the sacred Mundeshwari Hill in Kaimur, Bihar. According to local tradition, the temple is associated with the legend of Maa Mundeshwari and the demon Mund. It is believed that the Goddess fought the demons Chand and Mund, ultimately defeating Mund and earning the name Mundeshwari.
